    Dolby Atmos for Headphones


    I had an issue so did not get to use my trial. Anyway, it is on sale and I wanted to ask if it is a gimmick or if it is something that has made a real difference for anyone? I have Dolby Digital Plus and that really helps. They say to turn off all virtualization software such as that so they don't overlap and that it will benefit even "non-Atmos" optimized content.

    I have a Dolby Atmos soundbar and for that it sounds amazing. It's certain a neat technology, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it for headphones. Depending on the price, it may just not be worth it.

    It's $10 and I had an MS gift card for $10 but can always save that.

    Yes that is what I was thinking that the home theater implementation of it works out much better.
