Correct. Once you are set to get Insider builds in the Fast ring, you will get them via Windows Update.

Nothing to be sorry about.

Unfortunately, yeah it can take a while for it finish downloading and installing an Insider build via Windows Update. Sometimes even a couple of hours for some.

Are you currently signed in to Windows 10 with an administrator account? You'll have to be to set your Insider settings for the PC.
