DriverStoreExplorer [RAPR]
-
Hi,
It's very intuitive and straightforward really. I feel no need for a user guide here.
Give it a go @Ztruker, it will grow on you raprly.
Cheers,

Well. It would not hurt to create a backup or restore point before using it, but it is usually safe. You select SELECT OLD DRIVERS and then DELETE PACKAGE. It should only delete those packages that are not in use.

should only being the key words.
I just did a Macrium backup last night so I'll give it a try. Thanks.
It only selected:
intcdaud.inf
|
Sound, video and game controllers
|
Intel(R) Corporation
|
6.16.0.3197
|
5/10/2016
|
2 MB |
|
I guess because there was a newer version:
intcdaud.inf
|
Sound, video and game controllers |
Intel(R) Corporation |
8.20.0.950
|
6/27/2016 |
3 MB |

I do that then rank by size. I only delete large drivers (e,g, GPU) since deleting old drivers size few MB saves hardly any space and risks problems if the drivers are needed.

I don't see the point. The drivers are not being used and don't take up a lot of space. If I'm getting so short on space that deleting drivers makes a difference it's time for a larger drive.
I think it's good for information purposes but that's about all, at least for me.

I followed another thread to this thread, all the while wondering what this app does. No luck finding out.
So I downloaded the installer. No instructions. No readme file.
So I downloaded the source. Still nothing!
Are developers today so lame that they can't even finish a project?

RAPR is a driver viewer/installer/uninstaller.

Hi,
Thank you @EdTittel.

@Fedgrove: and I'll reply with a virtual "Erg Bedankt. Proost! " RAPR/Driverstore Explorer is a great tool. I've written about it repeatedly, including this bit for Win10.Guru: Toolkit Item: DriverStore Explorer (aka RAPR.exe).
HTH further,
