Not sure how to use Microsoft Launcher on Android

Dear friends.

I have a son of 12.

We use two different computers: a desktop and a laptop, both running Windows 10. We have separate accounts, and his account is set as being my child.

I have visited Microsoft Family Safety and gave him a specific amount of screen time and it seems to work fine on both these computers.

He also uses an android (v.5.0.2) tablet and an oldish Huawei android smartphone. I understood that I could use Microsoft Launcher on these devices to connect them with my Microsoft Family Safety plan, so I installed it on the tablet and logged in there with my son’s Microsoft account. It doesn’t seem to work as I expected, though.

I mean, I had set 0 screen time for today, but he can still make use of the tablet. No locking him out, there (unlike the MS devices.)

What am I doing wrong?

Microsoft Launcher is only a sync tool, not an access control tool. Notice this from the Microsoft website:
Peace of mind from your phone
Stay up to date on your kids5 whereabouts and their app activities. Microsoft Launcher gives you their location and shows you the apps they're using and how much they're using them.

It doesn't say anything about being able to control what they can do, it only states you can monitor what they do.

Indeed.

Somebody told me that you can actually include android devices in the screen time plan, and I thought that the Microsoft Launcher was the solution.
