I have many harddrive and I never sell them when I sell my Laptop. Recently, purchase new Laptop and I am selling my old Laptop with Toshiba 80GB Harddisk. I used Eraser with Pseudorandom Data (1 Pass). Than I tried below softwares to recover.
1. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard
2. DiskDigger 1.18
3. Recuva Professional v1.53.1087
Nothing found! I want to know should I use anyother Eraser also for fully clean and not recoverable.

I believe we all know in the U.S. bleach bit works pretty darn good :)
I use 2 or 3 passes. However, Eraser is a very buggy piece of software, it broke my Telegram messenger, detailed here:

"clean all" will write 0 to all sectors so it won't be recoverable.
Though honestly if I were concerned about someone recovering my data then I'd just destroy the drive. I don't know if someone would really want an 80GB drive anyway.
Exactly Polar. The problem is, they have demonstrated now that it is possible to recover the history of all those 1s and 0s...although not sure they would wast time on the OP's 80 Gig drive.....but theoretically, it is possible to recover all data back to the beginning of the drive's life, so again, a hammer is the only sure way to prevent that.
