recommended screen capture software for PC?

currently I am capturing with mouse and every time I need to capture a rectangular section I need to use mouse to start from a point and pull it down.

It's very troublesome. Especially when I often need to capture and save screen , of approx. the same size.

I don't need exact dimension of capture area, only approx. dimension is fine.

any screen capturing software where it provides a pre-defined size where I can more easily to capture a rectangular area? For example, every click it already gives me a rectangular size and let me choose where to capture and then just another click to finish?

    Any recommended software?

ShareX - Screen capture, file sharing and productivity tool
    - free, open source.

This really is intuitive, fast scrolling capture. Just works. Includes fixed region, and as many options as you could want, and fast effective scrolling capture too.

People may say Picpick, which allows you to set a fixed area (and many many other features).

But I've just tried that and kept ending up with having to log off- clicking and hitting ESC just gave me a 'bong' sound- rejection.

(It claims to do scrolling capture too, but doesn't do it well - the only good one I know is Duckcapture for that).

Do any of you have any success using scrolling capture with that? I don't, alas- tried with my browser.

Duckcapture is the only reliable one I've found for that. (free). Thanks!
