    NERO 2015 Won't Start

    I haven't used Nero 2015 in while and got the error shown below when trying to start it. I uninstalled and reinstalled Nero and got the same error. Any ideas how to fix this?

    When you uninstalled NERO, did you restart the PC before reinstalling? If not the same problem can still be there.
    I have NERO (mainly for Nero BurningROM) but its a later version.

    I've now solved this. I had to reinstall MS visual C++ 2012 from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=30679

    I just ran the installer which repaired the installation and Nero now works.

    OK. I remember the Nero installer did install that as part of the install.

    I grabbed the latest Nero 2015 release from their web site whilst it's still there. It installed OK but when I selected Your Product it advised Nero Control Centre wasn't installed. I was then invited to install the Control Centre but the link took me to the 2019 full download of Nero 2019! Nero support is poor since there is no way of contacting Nero support for old products.

    The fix for this problem is :

    Delete the following key from the registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\35588CBA077879B44BE3A50946A7B536}
    Download and install the Nero Control Centre from here http://install10.nero.com/update10/%...ntrolcenter.7z

    I then got the message Nero Update Unavailable which I fixed by uninstalling then reinstalling Nero Update.

    I've no idea why a simple re-installation proved so difficult!

    I've got NERO 2017 and unless it comes a time that there is a compatibility problem with Windows OS, I won't be upgrading. I only use the Nero BurningRom in my recording studio to make audio CD's. Finally in the 2017 version they fixed the problem in BurningRom of dragging song (wav) files to be burned and the program truncating or splitting the title. That problem has been in every version since at least V6.
