    Snip & Sketch

I want to make a screenshot of Snip & Sketch, but when I follow the instructions below, nothing will happen.

Check out the delay timer in the Snip & Sketch application:

Open the Snip & Sketch app.

Click the downward arrow next to the New button in Snip & Sketch and make your selection.

It works for me in 17763.55 with Snip & Sketch 10.1807.2286.0. After the delay the screen darkens to say it's ready for you to select an area.

Do you literally mean you want to make a screen shot of the Snip & Sketch app itself? If so, you can open a second instance and use that to make a snip the first.

No. How silly of me, Bree. What I meant was I want to make a screen shot of the Start Menu.

Thanks! I'll go get the Shawn's tutorial. Microsoft's instructions are rather sketchy.

    Edit: No pun intended!

That works too. Snip & Sketch's 10 second delay makes it easier to arrange the Start menu as you wish before it takes the snap. The snipping tool's 5 seconds was just too short.

it's a good pun, whether intended or not

    Oh! It works, Bree!

Microsoft used to have some good document writers, but I guess they layed 'em all off.
