I’m talking about the list of locations visited in a particular tab. The list is arranged in the opposite order of what I prefer and I can’t find an option to customize the order.
And thank you for your reply. As you can see, it's hard to see what you mean, unless you are explicit- e.g. a screenshot.

You have to have a history of folders you've accessed within that tab for anything to show up when you click the down arrow. If you only have the original location of that tab the arrow is essentially grayed out.

Hi, try Toolbar background colour - but doesn't exclusively change that.

Had a play with that myself dalchina. It doesn't seem to affect the bg of a vertical command bar. Think it must be a bug.

Hello guys, I recently reinstalled my system, so restored the backup setting for QTTabBar, and now Preview is not working.
Removed everything, to check if preview is working if QTTabBar is freshly installed with no backup restore, and yes it is working. So I came to conclusion that something is corrupted in the Setting Backup.
And I made sure of course to use same QTTabBar version (v 39 then update to 40), and also same pluggins, no luck, still no Preview.
I restored Preview Tab to default, still no Preview working.
I opened the backup files, with a txt editor, and it is basically a text file, but dont know what or where to look for, or at least if I could restore some part of it. it will be kind of shortcut.
I am in this struggle because we all know it is really time consumming to customize QTTabBar to each user tast, so I am trying any things possible, to not have to set everything again manually.
So any help or suggetion is welcome.
    Thx

For those that have really are very familiar with and tweaked QTTabBar, what are some of the options, obvious or lesser known, that this add-on run lighter? In other words, what should I turn off to just get the tab options and customize to run like the native File Explorer, without any of the other fluff added? So far, the tweaks I apply are (1) Select Options, Events, Folder View, "Double Click on Folder View", set to None, Apply, (2) Select Options, Preview, unselect "Show preview tooltip for text, image and media files", Apply. and (3) Select Options, Subfolder Menu, uncheck "Enable Sub Folder Menu", Apply. This add-on has tons of customization options and there are some others to change to make it run lighter. This thread has also gotten so long it is difficult to identify any of those options as well. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I can't speak for others, but I use all the options that you have disabled. Perhaps, those of us that use QTTabBar want some of the options that the native File Explorer doesn't have. Not sure what you mean by "lighter". If it means that you want it to run just like the native File Explorer, I'm not sure why you use QTTAblBar. What is it that you're trying to accomplish? That may be the reason that no one has responded yet.

    Hi ZipZwan:
I'm not sure why it doesn't work, but I've attached the options that I have for preview:

If that doesn't help, you could try increasing the cache size &/or clearing the cache.

I miswrote and should clarify that I would like to use the Explorer tab features of QTTabBar without all of the other features so, in addition to turning off the preview tooltip and subfolder options, is there anything else extra hidden away?

I found that the image/text/sound preview tooltips, while useful, seem to slow Explorer down while displaying the data. I also found that QTTabBar does have some quirks and bugs that arise while trying to integrate into Explorer that might be able to be solved with just a little more attention, but, unfortunately, the author of the program seems to post new versions for a short time then abandon the program for many month stretches and apparently requests for help fall on deaf ears. Fortunately, the tabs part works ok so I can live with just that aspect of the program.

    Thanks!
