    Hi guys,

QTTabBar was working perfectly fine for me until recently, but now keyboard shortcuts don't work anymore.
    I use version 1038 on Windows 10 up to date 21H2 (19044.1415).

    Any idea to help me?
    Hello,

In case you don't know, you're several versions behind the latest QTTabBar - QuizoApps - I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the issue you're experiencing.

What is an example of a keyboard shortcut you're using that doesn't work?

    Thanks for your answer @steve108,

Yes I know my version is outdated: I've been using v1038 since the begining and never had any issue with it so I thought I would just stick to it. I'm hesitant to switch to the latest version on my machine as I've been experiencing bugs on other machines in the past after upgrading.

For example, I've defined "Shift + R" as a shortcut for "Extra large icon" view. It doesn't work anymore. Now, if I change it to "Ctrl + R" instead, it does work. And when I switch it back to "Shift + R" it doesn't work anymore again.
But other shortcuts, pre-defined ones, do work: Ctrl + W, Ctrl + N ... do work. And I checked it: the Shift key works well.

Quite honestly, I've never seen a shorcut key that only uses the shift key. Shift +R would give you a capital R (or lowercase, if you're caps lock is on). You sure it wasn't something like Ctrl+Shift+R (or Alt+Shift+R)?

Yes I'm 100% sure. And it worked. Shortcuts are still defined as such, look:

I've set up these 4 shortcuts to quickly switch from one view to another between Extra large icon, Large icon, List and Details. It was awesome.

I created "Shift + R" shortcut for Extra Large Icon View as a test an it works. I'm using QT 1043 / Windows 2004/20H1.

    Solved!

I found the culprit: KeyScrambler was on. So keystrokes were encrypted, hence the shortcuts didn't work. Now I remember for some reason KeyScrambler was off, this is why my shorcuts worked, and then as I saw it was off, I switched it back on again, and starting from there my shortcuts didnt' work.

There is an option to disable KeyScramble for Windows Explorer but for some reason it has no effect on my issue.
I will have to think of a workaround for the future.

I see. I've never used those, but..., if you click on General, there's an option to import or export settings. It's usually in the Documents\QTTabBar Settings Backup folder. I'd save the current version & then import a recent settings xml file from there. Maybe that will restore it.

Edited: I see you've solved it.
It's still a good idea to back up your settings.

    Do you have this checked?

Edit: I see you've sorted the problem. Should have read on.
