I have icons for files if I click QA. E.g. Zip, PDF, Chrome, and TXT icons are visible in the same screen area you show plain icons for files.
Curious- as Phrab confirmed the same as I see (a consequence of installing Qttabbar).

Hello to everyone around. I need help to to issues, if Imay call them like that.
    1. When I use my PC for around 5-6h straight, I open and close a lot of folder and after a while I find myself with a bunch of yellow folder icons in the sys notification tray, I mean right down near the clock.

at the moment writing, I got just one and sometime I have a lot, and each one is containing a shortcut to a flder that I recently close. And sometime I use a small soft to Restart Explorer, and hope all those Windows repen themself n the screen. I want close window to be close for good, and those yellow folder icon gone. Is there a way to fix this issue.
Edit: I found out that this yellow windows is related with "Historique" of QTTaBar, so when I stopped historique, those yellow icon are gone. Kind of want to let Historique running because I got Historique Icon for folder and for files n the TaskBar in the Explorer. I dont know if to say this first issue is totally resolved because I want to keep Historique running without this yellow folder down in the Sys Notification Tray accumulating...

    2. When I am browsing between my folder, I even open a lot of Tab on the same windows like 5 (example), that kind of the beauty of QTTabar, then when I decide to open Proprity of "This PC" and "Control Panel" , hope it close my window with all my arranged Tabs, and open Proprities of This PC or Control Panel, them agan I need to reopen my window and re-arrange my Tab... kind of a pain... maybe someone know how to avoid this from happening??
    Thx

    Hello @ZipZwan,
If you put your mouse over the icon, does it show anything meaningful/hint of what app is causing the icon? I have not noticed anything like that and I use QTTabBar.

    - - - Updated - - -

I think this is it: QTTabBar Options - Window - General tab - Send window to Task Tray on minimized (2nd option)
is the box checked? Thanks for showing me a new feature in QTTabBar I never used anyway

yes, and when I right click on this icon, there is a list of the folder recently closed. It is related to Historique of QTTaBar. Maybe the folder historique s not activated from the settings of QTTabar, you should take a look there.
so as I explained, when I stop Historique, this foldder Icon is gone, but also Icon Historique in TabBar function is not more working, I gues they work together.

Correction: I left out Window from my original response:
QTTabBar Options - Window - General tab - Send window to Task Tray on minimized (2nd option)

lol, me too I dont know yet where you got that about sending to Task Bar, but gona look for it right away.
We are sharing tips, you can not fully explore QTTabar, at least it is an endless soft!!! so powerfull!!
OK, about "historique", just open Settings of QTTabar, it is right the Tab under "General". There is 2 kid of historique: Historique of Tab and Historique of file.
    here a pic

I unchecked both circled history boxes you circled in image, restarted PC, and still yellow icon goes to system try when I minimize QT (I still have checkbox checked to put icon in tray) - and I still see previous folder options when I right click icon in system tray after rebooting. Sorry if I'm not following correctly.

As you say, very many combinations of settings in QT.

wow wait you want Historique feature right?? If so do not uncheck them!!! they should be Checked!! >> activated!!
and about minimization of folder in sys tray Uncheck it >> uncheck = off.
I mean here the feature you talk about the first, remember??
    this one:
QTTabBar Options - Window - General tab - Send window to Task Tray on minimized (2nd option)
It should be uncheck, it is kind of a pain, everytime you just minimaze a folder it goes to sys try, no thanks.
Plus no need to reboot PC , just use Rexplorer! It is fine with QTTabBar to fully apply the settings, since as its name says, it reboot Explorer of Windows, you can also do it manually though Task Manager, but Rexplorer does it for you.
    Restart Explorer
use x64, if your win 10 is x64 of course

I think I like QT (cutie )icon in the taskbar, because it's something new for me to try for now since I just experienced it today for the first time.

And thanks for Rexplorer tip. I'll have to look into it, but I usually just use the Task Manager to restart Explorer when rarely needed.

So lets focus on the issues you want to resolve. Maybe restating them would be good after all these posts just to clarify
