Is this really worth using? A few years ago I tried the stardock version of tabs t hey have and it was really not that great
I suppose it's a matter of opinion. I find it valuable, although there's a learning curve because there are so many options.

It works very well as a tabbed explorer. Some of the other functions are a bit flakey.

Here's just one feature you might not be aware of:

I find QTTabBar invaluable! I can no longer function within Explorer without it!

The one thing I've noticed & can't seem to change is the following:
I create a 2nd desktop (Ctrl+Tab) & keep certain folders open on a network, so I can copy back & forth, but doesn't get in the way.

I use "Search Everything" & it used to be that if I search for a folder & click enter, it would open a new Explorer window to that folder, even though one was open on the 2nd desktop. However, now it takes me to the 2nd desktop & puts focus on that folder.

I'd like to have "Everything" open a new folder likke it did before I installed QtTabBar. Not sure what option in QtTabBar changes this.

    Any ideas?

Thank you for your response. Tried that. I have a folder called Info to Read from the Internet, which is open on Desktop2. When I go into Everything and type info<Enter>, it selects the correct folder.

But whether I hit <Enter>, Shift+Double click, Shift+<Enter>, it switches to the folder in Desktop2.

Works if you search from the Start Menu...

Thank you. Yes, it does? Actually, I have Classic Start & I can open it without using Shift...just enter. I guess I'll just have to learn that I can't use Search Everything to search everything. I was hoping there was some setting in QtTabBar, but it does have numerous other advantages.
