    Installer now working...

    (Changes in 1043)

    - Navigation pane (folder tree) available in extra folder views.
    - Built-in folder analyzer tool and file attribute editor.

    (Fixed in 1043)
    - Many bugs.

-On the next major update, we have scheduled to change the framework requirement to version 4.8 or later.
    -Fix installer msi file. (2020/12/26)

Well, 1043 is a no go for me!

Not only did Build 21279 severely fubar Windows Blinds, 1043 severely fubar's File Explorer!!!

Remember to reboot between installs or un-installs or the shell hooks won't release.

    Okay...,
I actually got 1043 to look half decent...

However, I had to switch to Light Mode in Settings, which I can't tolerate, Dark Mode leaves too many black elements all over the place!
But, at least I can get the tab font color to match!

I had to create a Tab skin cuz GDI and GDI+ or Classic just doesn't work!

I do like Extra View Left having a Navigation Pane. I like the Cloud on the tab icons that depict tabs in a group, very nice!

Too many bugs under the hood, had to go back to 1038!

The look is very similar though!

    QTTabbar redux

This thread caught my eye as I was about to post my own thread --

I do have some years of experience wrestling this [potentially] wonderful app ...

tldr: After checking back every year or so since ~ 2013-14-15? to see how Quizo and his app are doing,
I end up uninstalling it and going back to Quizo's homely sister --

QTTabBar_1.5.0.0 beta 2 by Paul Accisano (mea culpa the misogynist reference).

    still apparently available from :

    Download QTTabBar 1.5.0.0 Beta 2

I only install QTTabBar for those rare occasions I have to go through the MS gate (Control Panel, etc),
b/c otherwise I'm dancing with the finest partner ever known to call themselves a file .... -- Directory Opus.

So best of luck to Quizo as well as all those who hope to [one fine day]
taste the fruits of his labors --

as for me, I drink fine wine directly from the bottle labeled dOpus,
and save my lips from trying to suck blood from the stone of <This PC>.

last edit: I also wanted to confirm the post by several others
who apparently had the same experience of crashes, hangs, etc.,
and who also then decided to use the Accisano version.

I don't see QTTabBar as a file manager per se..., I think it adds versatility and functionality to file explorer more than anything else, but not so much a file manager in the true sense of the word.
