I just installed version 1041 (from 1040). While it's true that nothing is truncated, I've lost all the beautiful color of the different options. In the old version, the on the tabbar all had distinct colors. Now it looks like this:

    Before it looked like this:

Anyone know how to get the color back?

Right click on a button and choose Set Icon, however, I haven't a clue where the default resources would be but, you could browse through the suggested dll's

    It's either that or, re-install version 1038!

    Hi all

Just tried to install the new build 1041 but I still have previous version at bottom of qttabbar options.
I first uninstalled previous version ( 1038 ) with the same executable for install ( 1038 ) then install 1041 and it seems I still have the same 1038 build.
I checked in program files folder to delete old junk ( found a folder qttabbar ) and in registry but no way ( I do not have the new icons so I guess 1041 isn't correctly installed)
Is there a right way to get rid of previous version to install 1041 like you ?
    Thanks for help

Did you both logoff & then activate QTTabBar. See the install instructions at Install & Uninstall - QTTabBar Manual. When you open File Explorer, did you go to the View tab, then Options scrolldown & activate?

    Hi and thanks for reply
I finally could install 1041 build after cleaning all entries related to qttabbar left after uninstall and it worked.

A good way to routinely uninstall programs is to use Revo Uninstaller or Geek Uninstaller- extra scan for leftovers after running normal installer.

Can Desktop Tool open 2 different windows?

    Hi:
I would like to double click the desktop (which opens the desktop tool), click on the "recent tabs", pick a tab & open it. I would then like to repeat the process & pick another tab & open it in a new window.

e.g. This is the recent tab list:

I have the Desktop Tool options as follows:

However, even if I uncheck those options, when I try to open the second tab, it replaces the first. Is there a way to make it open a new window, so that I have 2 windows open?

    Thank you in advance.

Hi phrab, is this the option you're looking for? Right-click, open in new window. This allows me to open multiple windows while maintaining the original with multiple tabs.

Thank you! Boy, that was easy. I don't know why I didn't try that before...that's how you open new tabs in Chrome, etc.

Thank you for your response. That's a little different because I was wondering about the desktop tool, where you double click on the taskbar or desktop to bring up the items shown in my first post.

I think yours is what you see when you right click a folder in the navigation pane of an open File Explorer window. Is that right?
