How do I fax a document using the internet rather than a landline?

I have a wireless phone that does not support faxing. I am wondering what the best method of faxing a document through the internet would be? Do I need a service? Is it possible to make it a secure document?

I have Microsoft Office Home Edition 2010. I can get as far as having it in the 'pending' but don't know how to proceed from there, or if that is even the best option.

There are many options, some require payment others tout free internet faxing.
Do a search for "fax via internet" and you will see the many options.

Yes I did but I thought you might have a particular recommendation out of the many choices. I also wasn’t clear which would be secure.

I've never used any of these so I can't recommend a specific one. But, if it was an important document, not having a known service to use, I would more trust the pay services.

Yes I agree. I found one paid service that encrypts documents. That’s probably the one I’d use.

I used SRFAX for a year. Thinking I would need it so I paid for a year...then wind up not using it but on a rare occasion. But it worked well.
