Beware latest voice recorder update, it’s broken

Turned pc on this evening and done my usual check for updates in the store app. Several came through one of which was for voice recorder. It’s a bad update as now trying to launching it results in the app crashing. It’s the same across all our home PCs. So it is clearly an MS problem and once again woeful lack of QA testing on their part. Try and avoid it for now

Oh dear. Mine was just updated.
Is there a way to revert to old version?
    Many thanks and best regards,

Not that I am aware of. I’ve reported to twitter ms help and Brandon LeBlanc so hopefully will get it on their radar. But I guess we need to wait for MS to update the app again, their QA is totally inadequate!

Ok thanks . I’ve no idea on the version number that caused ours to crash across multiple machines. Maybe they’ve thrown a new update out since last night when I last checked. All I know is the update that came through a couple nights back destroyed the app on three machines here! I’ll have to wait til I get home to see

What sound device do you have?

Not really geared up on sound devices. From my memory it’s just onboard, Realtek. Sounds like the crashing problem is hit and miss. Was at my parents house at weekend and their voice recorder is not crashing but then at my brother’s later and his one is.
