    1) Yes, it is normal - MS never updated RE
    2) Vshadow.exe is not a normal windows/system32 file

    3) Verify VSS Interface has AutoRun enabled
    4) Verify (IF) VSS Service is running in Task Manager (Services) tab in PE

    Hello,

Volume Shadow Copy is Running and Autorun enabled.

Problem seems: VolumeShadowService_XPE.script seems unable to create EventSystem service on 21H1

Please let me know if there is anything I can do.

    Thank you.

The "COM+ Event System" is not starting and you show it as "Automatic" can you start the service manually ??

Or try editing the script by adding this as Line 46 -
    Code:
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x0,Tmp_System\Setup\AllowStart\EventSystem
The service is normally started via the cmd file..

COM+ Event System is not created by VolumeShadowService_XPE.script on 21H1, I created it manually. I tried everything but it does not start.

If you have a chance, please try VolumeShadowService_XPE.script and Drive Image XML backup on 21H1.

    Thank you very much.

" If you have a chance, please try VolumeShadowService_XPE.script and Drive Image XML backup on 21H1. "

After efforts to try to support 20H2. There is no need to go further The result is not really reliable, depending on the components or applications used... In Windows 10 version 2009 - 20H2 ISOs, update packages were not added to winre.wim, as it is normally done! And so, the Versions between winre.wim and Install.wim do not match and that is the source of incompatibilities and problems.
Same Issue that also effects 21H1

    My version seems: 10.0.19041.928

I just downloaded and extracted clean "Win10XPE_2021-06-27.7z".

I just selected Apps -> Tweaks -> Volume Shadow Service (Patch).

(All of them are with default configurations).

It is not creating EventSystem service.
