#1151
I went through things with a fine-toothed comb and checked out the apps, and actually swapped out a couple I had been using on my laptop. I decided to add these:
- Remote Desktop - Might need to get files off from or move them to another computer. I'll probably put AeroAmin in the NTFS partition and it is standalone and requires no installation. Beats TeamViewer because the address doesn't change on the mother ship thereby leaving you stranded and out of touch.
- Unlocker - I put in but now I'm doubting I'll get mileage out of it because computer OS won't be running.
- ShadowExplorer - Could be interesting where applicable
- Seagate Tools - Must have
- WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostics - Must have
- SSD-Z - Must have. Shows partition misalignments, and the only tool that does.
- *Samsung Magician Add maybe because their SSD's are so popular and it checks for, and installs firmware updates which sometimes fixes the problem on an SSD.
- Hardware Monitor - Must have. It shows all of the sensor data for everything without the hunting. I can know without tearing it apart what's hot, why fans are screaming, if the power supply has a voltage issue, what happens under load, which video card is working when, fabulous!
- NotePad++ - Must have. Beats the stars out of Notepad. Has plugins for HEX editor and ASCII chart.
- Malwarebytes - Must have. It will be old, but it can download updates and then scan.
- DISM++ - Wondering if it really can slim WinSxS and Package Cache. That could be huge if it doesn't break something.
- WinDirStat - Left in but don't see myself using it when WizTree is identical and infinitely faster.

Questions:
1. Run all programs from RAM? All programs runs from RAM. What am I missing? Which do you recommend/use?
2. Making an NTFS partition to manage on the fly. I found your post a few pages back you mentioned about making a FAT32 + NTFS from the Microsoft Flat Boot article you referenced. I noticed the PE itself doesn't require much space. Any size recommendation for the FAT32 partition?
Thanks!

I have been using shadowexplorer a long while - also suggest diskgenius can be very useful.
To run pecmd scripts, I add these lines to pecmd.ini
Code:ENVI PECMD=PECMD.EXE ENVI EDIT=notepad REGI $HKCR\.wcs\=wcsfile REGI $HKCR\wcsfile\=WCS File REGI $HKCR\wcsfile\DefaultIcon\=%SystemRoot%\SYSTEM32\%PECMD%,0 REGI $HKCR\wcsfile\shell\open\command\=%PECMD% LOAD %L REGI $HKCR\wcsfile\shell\Edit\command\=%EDIT% %L REGI $HKCR\inifile\shell\PECMD\=PECMD load REGI $HKCR\inifile\shell\PECMD\command\=%PECMD% "LOAD %L" REGI $HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment\PATHEXT=.COM;.EXE;.NTR;.NTE;.NTX;.BAT;.CMD;.VBS;.VBE;.JS;.JSE;.WSF;.WSH;.WCS;.WCE;.WCX;.WCZ
1) Run all programs from RAM - has higher RAM requirement > then run from USB option
2) First Partition on USB as Fat32 - large enough to hold ISO contents > 2~10GB should be fine depending
2a) Flat Booting is a little different - WinPE is loaded & runs from USB, Not Ram...
Samsung Magician > which version as there are many. including portable versions...
AeroAmin > single x86 exe - compress exe and use Utilities/XPE Packed Plugin Creator to create App
As suggested previously I can put a command like
Start "" "X:\Program Files\GreenShot_x64\Greenshot.exe"
into the file
D:\PEBakB6\Projects\Include\x64\AdditionalFiles\Windows\System32\autorun.cmd
to let it (a 64bit program from RAM) start automatically at startup.
It works.
However for this solution with absolute path I always have to remember if I run the corresponding
program from RAM or from USB.
Furthermore I have to find out and remember if this program is a 32 bit or 64bit version.
If I change it (even weeks) later I have to remember to change the absolute path in autorun.cmd as well.
Thats uncomfortable and error prone.
Is there no way to make auto-start program path independent?
E.g. by using some variables?
The best solution would be if there would another checkbox "auto-start" on Plugin page in WIn10XPE which (when enabled)
puts the corresponding plugin into the necessary autostart mode.
Second best would be if users could add an instruction manually in corresponding *.script file which
let the program autostart (regardless whether the user defines run from RAM or run from USB).
Is there really no such *.script command?

I see once again you missed my post 4 days ago and followed another less informed member...Is there really no such *.script command?
Win10XPE - Build Your Own Rescue Media Post# 1113
Looking for Feedback Results...
I created an uncompressed "Win10XPE-Backup" Folder in my Mega Account...
Look to see if others have access to that Folder & if they can access the sub-folders & if they can access the scripts...
Meaning is it possible to download a single "Script" contained in a Project Sub-Folder... No Need to quote post - just asking to see if this is viable option.
