    Yes Sir.

@lacruelrealidad : You have to go a long way ahead!

    1. Use good portable programs. Actually, an ideal / good portable program is one that have all the required things already included in the folder or executable. If not, portability is not practical but there are such programs.
I used some portable programs packed by PortableApps.com & they came out to be good enough but you never know.
I am planning to give them a try : Turbo Studio Express & VMware ThinApp

    2. Try to make plugins with your portable programs. Its quite easy.
    Create Portable App Packed Plugins
Why ? Because once you make your plugin, you can analyze your plugin with an inbuilt Utility :
    Check Target Sys Files
Besides, you should always have a look on logs after performing anything to watch for Warnings & Errors
To get a plugin integration log, one need not run the whole project. Just run the plugin / script by clicking the Green Play Button & go to logs.

    For eg.

Run the Green Play Button to Integrate DISM++64

    Attachment 247428

After the runing completed, the logs are written for DISM++64. To see the related log, immediately go to the logs. If you run / do something else, the logs will be changed & updated for that.

    Attachment 247429

    3. Try to include / check some essential items in the Project Interface to make sure that your programs dependencies are automatically met. It may increase the size but you have to try out the things!
Theortically : As many things you include, the more chances that you have a sufficient registry & everything there to run your portable programs. I think many things are shared between different apps.
But on other side : it may create some problems & conflict.

( To say again : Go through the logs after doing anything! )

I would suggest consider adding :

    (i) Build Core > Main Interface > Network Additions, Microsoft .NETFx4, Switch to Admin
( & You may want to increase WinPE Cache Size to 2048 MB )
(ii) You may try adding : Build Core > Build Options > Use Full Win10 Software Hive, Add All Win10 Catalogs
(iii) In Apps > Components > NET Framework 3.5 , MS Visual C++ Runtime & OTHERS!
    (iv) Up to you!

    4. Its clear whenever you make changes & run the project, the Win10XPE ISO in the win10XPE Folder is changed. If you find one useful, copy it to somewhere else before trying other things.

    5. To ease up your experimenting : You need not burn it to a DVD or Pen drive each time you want to test the new ISO / options. You can add them directly to your pc boot menu using the Utility :
XPE Host Boot Option : You can select between UEFI or MBR according to your system.
Add Host Boot Menu Option & Remove The Host Boot Menu Entry

    Thanks & Regards. ...

Thank you very much for your time and response.

    1) I would like to be able to operate my portable programs within the iso.

    2) Could you explain in more detail (for newbies) how to get in and out of the boot host?

First, Y'all must stop posting outside links to TheOven.. Otherwise you are going to get this thread shut down for Not following Forum Rules...

Second, I am having a hard time understanding certain questions....
As they seem to have been already answered - but not followed or understood...

So Please explain what you trying to do ?? As you keep referencing the ISO ???
    1) I would like to be able to operate my portable programs within the iso.
It does not matter if Booting Apps From X:Program Files (Ram) or Y:\Programs (USB)
The Apps are included (Contained) within the ISO - so I'm lost as to what it is you are wanting......

    2) Could you explain in more detail (for newbies) how to get in and out of the boot host?
There is a "Utility" to allow the addition of a Boot Menu Option to Boot Win10XPE from the Win10XPE working folder on your Host.. Rather then having to keep writing the ISO to USB..
This allows you to Reboot your PC and then have the option to select OS or Win10XPE..
This is the BEST method for testing any changes in your Build Options ( But You Must Select "Run ALL programs From RAM") otherwise you will not see any programs\Apps on the USB - as the Y USB will not be present....

Once you add the "Boot Menu Option" to the Host Boot Menu - you can remove the entry by typing MSCONFIG into an Admin Command Prompt - then select the Entry and Delete...

There is a How to Guide Included in the Project ( the pics are a little blurry) but it is all in there...
Please take the time to read it .....

    Thank You...

    PS.
Just to clarify an ISO is not writable media - it is a Disk Image..

    PS. PS.
It would interesting to see a "List" of your "Portable Apps" as XPE has over 200 supported Apps and Features included in the Project and Add-On Package.. I'm sure we have pretty much covered any App worth having or using...

I wonder why Rufus is not worth having or using.

    Let us think about something

Why would you need to Boot into WinPE to Make - Windows Setup Media ?

Would you not have to also download the setup media while in WinPE first ??

Would you not have to have an Unsupported WinPE cache size Greater then 4GB to support a file download greater then 4GB to ram ???

Would you not need the presence of a NTFS disk present to be able to support a file download greater then 4GB ????

Answer: To do a Clean Install of Windows - one would normally download the media, write the media to Disk or USB then use the media to Boot into WinPE to begin the windows setup process...

    Now a little trick:
Create a Customized Build of XPE with the "All Programs To Ram" Option
Then Move From XPE the Sources\Boot.wim to the SetupMedia Sources folder
    overwriting the SetupMedia \Sources\Boot.wim

    Now Boot Your Setup Media...

Do you consider the following situation possible?

My HDD containing installed Windows suddenly died. I have a spare empty HDD. I have used my Win10XPE DVD to download Windows ISO, where "install.wim" is larger than 4 GB. I cannot copy it into my FAT32 device, so I need Rufus to create a bootable device to clean install Windows.

The above "My HDD containing installed Windows suddenly died" can be replaced with "The installed Windows on my HDD is beyond repair", which leads to the same situation—Rufus cannot be run.

Do you consider the following situation possible?
In both you would need a NTFS Formatted device - either USB or HDD...
So you would use Win10XPE to download the Media ISO to a NTFS formatted drive.
then since you already in WinPE just mount the ISO and run the Setup.exe......

No need to create external media --> as you are already booted externally of the (System) HDD and current OS

PS: I have not used the Windows Media Creation Tool - in a long time, but it uses a compressed install.esd which is smaller in size....

You could also use an external USB HDD Enclosure - create a small Fat32 Partition - write Win10XPE.iso to that Fat32 partition then use the rest of the external drive as your DATA partition...

Also Note: Rufus is an option that could be used to write the Win10XPE.iso to removable media (Located on "Create ISO" interface)

The nice thing is - you are free to add or use Rufus as you desire with the build...
It is also a very easy program to script - using the utilities provided - to create and integrate Apps...

The Program, Features, Apps and Utilities --> where all created with a New User (Newbie) in mind...
There is a learning curve - that is self taught - by Trial & Error Testing by the User..
That is where User Experience comes into play when working on a PC in the unrestricted WinPE Technician mode..

I also added to "First Post" two Batch File Utilities...
Image-Prep will allow you to create a machine specific single index Install.wim
Where you can integrate your windows system drivers, windows activation, MS office activation, etc. into the Install.wim for simple re-deployment using DISM
My prepared machine specific single index Install.wim is 3.65GB

@hsehestedt wrote a batch file that creates a bootable USB installer if install.wim is greater than 4GB. It's based on the tutorial
Create bootable USB installer if install.wim is greater than 4GB by @cerebus.

Creates a flash drive with two partitions. The first is fat32 and contains just boot.wim. The 2nd is ntfs and contains everything. I don't understand how/why it works, but it does. It eliminates the concern about install.wim being larger than 4GB.

    It's available here: usbcreate.bat

KYHI thank you very much again for your patience.

His work is excellent, the tool is the best I saw on the internet today.
Being able to customize exceeds any other rescue disk.

    I congratulate you!

    1) Ignore me express myself badly.

    2) This HOST method is fabulous and saves a lot of time and effort, allows you to try and add portables, it is excellent.

    3) I read the pdf carefully but I would like it to be possible please, to upload a clear screenshot showing the process step by step.

    4) I already made the.bat file and run it, when doing this it disappeared from the HOST folder.
Should I want to reverse the process when I have my final iso as I do?

Yes the batch self-deletes after being run...

    To remove the Boot Entry
    Open Command Prompt(admin)
    type> msconfig

select "Boot" tab -> Select "Win10XPE Recovery" -> Select "Delete" -> select "OK"
    Win10XPE - Build Your Own Rescue Media-image012.jpg

IF, after you Delete the Entry - you wish to recreate the entry - just run Utility again
