    On the Additions App
There is a checkbox next to EDIT - you must enable that checkbox also..
    Attachment 238461

Enable Additions App via Left Pane
Use the edit button to add Files... And enable checkbox
Use Edit Button to Add Regwrite Values and enable checkbox...

Both have samples that are Marked-Out with > //
If // is in front of the line of code > the line of text is ignored

If there is a ; or ;; in front of the Files - that line is ignored
thanks afaik that describes what i did exactly - will go back to it and try again - i activated some of the code that was there by removing // when what i added did not work on the assumption that my additions were wrong in some way

but it seems i have the method right so i must be missing something - back to the drawing board!

i tried a few things - added this to the files and folders section - the files were in custom/x64/......... - they are just mods

    Code:
    \Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\startup\single-click.bat
    \Program Files\Total Commander\*.*
i tried this in the reg bit - it adds safe mode to context menu

    Code:
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Classes\DesktopBackground\Shell\SafeMode,MUIVerb,"Safe Mode"
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Classes\DesktopBackground\Shell\SafeMode,SubCommands,NormalMode;SafeMode;SafeModeNetworking;SafeModeCommandPrompt
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Classes\DesktopBackground\Shell\SafeMode,icon,"imageres.dll,-149"
    RegDelete,HKLM,Tmp_Software\Classes\DesktopBackground\Shell\SafeMode,Position
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\SafeMode,,"Restart in Safe Mode"
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\SafeMode,HasLUAShield,
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\SafeMode\command,,"WScript C:\Windows\Safe_Mode\Safe_Mode.vbs"
RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CommandStore\shell\SafeModeNetworking,,"Restart in Safe Mode with Networking"

    RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,"Tmp_Default\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics",MinAnimate,1

i also changed a couple of pre written code and nothing happened

    Code:
// Remove Recycle Bin From Desktop
    RegWrite,HKLM,0x4,Tmp_Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu,{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E},1

have double checked the tick boxes were ticked so i guess i have something wrong

i also tried adding a reg file via the merge reg file - again that did not work

i am missing the obvious i guess - so point the finger at me and i will learn [hopefully]

    - - - Updated - - -

been playing and confusing myself - still cannot get any reg file to work but have got files to be added to windows - thats not what i want though - i want to add some files to a dir in program files and am struggling

if i want to add files into program files/total commander it does not work - the total commander dir is created by the install

however if i add the line program files/total commander1/file then that gets added but is no use as its in the wrong dir

so am i getting that bit wrong or is adding files to any program dir other than windows not allowed

hmmmmmmmmmm - i guess i still dont understand - i added the files in the x64 part of the custom dir and ticked the custom thing - opened the custom folder and it showed the files - ran a build and the files were not in boot.wim

not looked at the reg stuff yet - one thing at a time is about my limit

testing your patience - can only thank you [again] for that

yes and no - have been playing and come to some conclusions - that might be a bit strong - lets just say things that seem to be

    if i have the line - \Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\startup\

the startup dir is created and anything in it copied into the new dir

if i have the line - \program files\Total Commander\ - nothing is copied into the Total Commander dir that is in program files

but if i alter the line to - \program files\Copy to TC\ - then a new dir is created in program files and all files copied into it

i have tried the above from the custom dir with it ticked in the settings and also from the dir projects/include - the result is the same

i also tried copying files into the windows dir ant that worked

so i conclude that i can copy files into users and windows - i can further creat and then copy to new dirs in program files but i cannot copy files into dirs that the install has created in program files

hope that makes sense - i can add no insight just report what has happened for me - i can get round it by opening boot.wim and adding the files i want in the program files dirs but that sort of defeats the object of what the program seems to be set up for

then again [i must add] maybe i am trying to do something that the program is not capable of - or more likely i am getting something wrong

I think I used it a long time ago. It didn't impress me, though.
    Best regards.
