Yeah, maybe it was a different prog I was thinking about, I can see I had updated this to v15, but from a note I made, I thought it wasn't straightforward, but it looks OK now - maybe just me
strange, I upgraded and tested it on the 3rd of this month but can't see a notification

    Ventoy I/O error

I'm still having issues with Win10XPE Iso inside Ventoy, the error I/O related (disconnected USB storage device.....).

    Win 10pro/64 here, v. 20H2, but using as reference Windows 10 version 2004 - 20H1as suggested.

I followed all the supplied instructions, but after many attempts (errors in files copying....) I was able to obtain a working Iso but without additional custom portable apps. If I try to add inside the custom folder, the result is the above error inside Ventoy, and a not bootable Iso .

Any idea or help? I'm the only one having this issue?
    Thanks in advance

Yes, just read through a long discussion about this..
It is NOT Win10XPE that is the Issue - It is the newer releases of Ventoy

And nowhere do the Instructions say to use Ventoy...

And my experience with Ventoy is that it never supported Win10XPE - until one day it was discovered that version 1.0.16 Actually worked......... Now it is my understanding that newer releases Do Not..

I have asked this question many times have yet to get a reply from anyone...

What Portable Apps are you trying to include in your build ??

I was able to obtain a working ISO but without additional custom portable apps.
So I see the reported issue as with including "Custom" Applications

Aomei Backup and partition, winrar, faststone... In the meantime I excluded from apps already inside Win10XPE.
Take care that "default Iso, the one obtained doing nothing from standard downloaded Win10XPE, the last version, works fine inside ventoy.
