    Being totally clueless about this..
I have to ask - what method would be used if you where to setup a New PC to login ???
I would then assume that the Login information would be saved somewhere to allow the auto-login upon reboot....
so it would be a matter of one of two processes - the initial setup login or the saved information...
So being clueless - seems it would be either a file or registry settings

Kyhi, in the windows operating system there are three ways I access my NAS.
    1. Windows "file explorer", I set up a quick access link to my NAS and entered the required user and password. Which Windows saved, so no login needed to access my folders and files.
    2. In Macrium Reflect, I went to "Tools", Network logon credentials for server shares" and created network path and entered the required user and password. Screen shot below:

    3. Log in to the NAS "user interface" with a web browser (no need to log in this way in Win10XPE).

I guess what I'm trying to do is setup No.1 and No.2 during the Win10XPE build process to prevent the "failed logins" when I boot my computer into the Win10XPE environment.

I doubt you can do anything about the 1st one. Since windows passwords are all saved in SAM and not accessible to a live windows, you can't also use one made on one system in another. I can't say about macrium reflect either, unless it uses portable settings file if would be harder to supply it a password on start. You could try making a plugin, if it adds the credentials to some registry file might be easier to implement.

You could try to see if you can connect to your nas via cmd. If so, make a batch file and call it via the startup script. That should solve your 1 at least. You could also try a powershell script if cmd doesn't work out, or some other tool that could add the credentials on boot.

    Raex-D, thanks for the reply.
Upon more testing, it appears that the unwanted attempted logins to my QNAP NAS using SAMBIA only occurs when I open Marcium.

I'm not concerned about items 1 and 3 as far as Win10XPE is concerned.
The rescue media I created in Macrium does have the NAS path, username, and password stored same as my operating system copy of Macrium.

By the time I open Macrium and enter the NAS path, username, and password, I would be locked out of the NAS for 24 hours.

Try removing your passwords from Macrium first, and then making a WinPE. Test it out and see whether you can login fine or not, I am not sure whether you said or not, but if it's able to login after the 24 hours, then something must be messing up the credentials at the startup of Macrium. If not, and you are unable to log in via the winpe version of Macrium then it's something else. Is that the case?

Raex-D, sorry if I was not clear in my issue.
All is fine with the login in my rescue media created directly from my desktop Macrium.
It is only with KYHI's Win10XPE that I have the issue. I found that I can enter the login information in KYHI's Win10XPE Macrium before connecting to my WIFI service and all is ok.
I'm wanting the Nas login to be persistent in KYHI; Macrium.
Hopefully I didn't muddy the water more here.

No, you haven't. I had a vague idea what you were referring to but not entirely sure. "By the time I open Macrium and enter the NAS path, username, and password, I would be locked out of the NAS for 24 hours." I am assuming this is only with Win10XPE not your MacriumPE (shortened to MPE hereon). MPE works fine, because it is created by your macrium which is supplying the pass automatically built-in to the PE. The problem is hereon only. You see, storing credentials isn't something that can be done half assed or left unprotected, that's why any program which usually stores the credentials to any network/site encrypts it up and stores them in such a way which would be hard to procure them from.

Unless, Macrium had a way to use passwords stored in an external format, it's hard to accomplish what you're asking. You could probably ask at Macrium's forums too, but I doubt they will encourage the usage of different WinPE even if it were storing credentials externally and were easily accessible.

Also, are you using your own Macrium in Win10XPE or the plugin provided here? If it's the plugin, can you tell me how you are supplying it the password at boot. From the way you mentioned, it is as if you had Macrium set up so when you boot into the WinPE and start Macrium it'll automatically try to log in the NAS. (I haven't used the plugin yet, so not sure if it has a place where you can supply it the credentials)

I'll get back onto this issue tomorrow. Have other things to accomplish this afternoon.

The Macrium application uses the Macrium PE program files...
If your issue is with Macrium then create a Macruim PE without your NAS login - then create a Macruim PE with your NAS login and then compare files & registry..
As I assume that the desktop version already has saved the Nas Login and that Info is then integrated into the Macruim PE...

I found that I can enter the login information in KYHI's Win10XPE Macrium before connecting to my WIFI service and all is ok.
It is a matter of finding where that login information is saved.... Run Regshot2 ( first Shot - whole registry)
Enter NAS Info - Take second registry Shot with Regshot2
Or compare Marcium program files after entering login info > to the Macruim files in "Target" directory

Edit: or try using Build Core/Network Options/Start PENetwork Configuration Editor and try first logging in with PENetwork..
Those setting are saved in PENetwork.ini

Buy honestly, I do not know Networking - although I am sure somebody does with XPE

I'm more puzzled on why, you come here to promote it or try to discredit the other, it's not the subject
There is no competition between Kyhi's and Slore's or Bob.Omb’s. There is no question of promoting or discrediting any one of them. Actually, I have all of them.
