Cannot make a program to run at startup

I've used a program called Startup Manager to manually create an entry for this program called speedfan
Cannot make a program to run at startup-startup.png
It also appears in the startup tab on Task Manager
Cannot make a program to run at startup-startup2.png

    But I doesn't work.
The program default behavior is to open minimized as an icon in tray (it works manually)

    Any suggestions ?

    Hello,

SpeedFan runs elevated, but it won't run at startup since Windows will not run elevated items at startup by default for security reasons.

As a workaround, you could create an elevated shortcut for SpeedFan using the method in the tutorial below, and place this elevated shortcut in your Startup folder.

Right click on start / Run
    Type: shell:startup
And paste the shortcut of the programma in that folder.
    Simple as that :)

    Hello fellas,

    Thanks for the advices

@Solidjeuh it doesn't work even if I give the shortcut elevated privileges. The startup service redirects link files to their origin so you'll find the exe file in the startup tab on "Task Manager"

@Brink someone wrote a more elegant workaround https://superuser.com/a/1039156/155175 and it works

Anyhow IMHO Microsoft should've given the option to run program(s) in elevated mode with msconfig (I don't know how to add a startup program entry other then copying a shortcut of it to %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup)
