How did Intel get this on my computer?

So im updating my computer (luckly ones that don't need restarts), no biggie, I finish and I go to shutdown to do some yard work, but it hangs on the shutdown screen, saying some application called "G" is intefering with the shutdown process. I do a hard-shutdown, turn off the power-strip for good measure. I come back, power everything up, and chrome tells me that 2 of these apps will mess with chrome, and tells me remove them to blah blah blah

These apps are dropbox (yeah, not getting rid of it), and one application that I never remembered installing, called intel optane pinning explorer extensions. I checked the programs and features in windows, and even in revo uninstaller pro, and both of them say I installed it august 11th .

I did not do that willingly, im sure that it wasn't on there at all; maybe it happened when I updated my Intel RST to the latest build, but for those who have Intel RST on their computers, beyond the name of said app in question, what the **** is this program even for? Is it essential for anything? Or is it a trash app you have to get rid of once in a while?

Intel® Optane™ Technology seem to be some new Storage technology sounds interesting to me?
