How do I install Cortana?

Hi, just wondering, what persuades you Cortana isn't there?

Please could you post a screenshot of that evidence.

Please advise your Windows build
Windows key + R, winver

Have a look at your task manager:

Do you see that? Or..?

Try the 2nd tutorial I posted then.

And if all else fails, you can do an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs, data and most settings.

If you rt click your toolbar, Cortana is normally the 2nd from the top.

I take it that Cortana isn't installed because in place of that Cortana circle next to the start button I have a magnifying glass. When I click on it and search for Cortana it finds nothing. Cortana is also not running in Task Manager.

To get Cortana to work for you in Croatia, you first need to install Windows 10 in one of the supported languages, then change computer location to match that language. For instance, to keep European number, time and date formats, install Windows 10 in UK English, set computer location to United Kingdom, and set time zone to UTC+1 (Sarajevo, Skopje, Warsaw, Zagreb).

The important thing with Cortana is that region and language must match for it to work. Living here in my adopted home country Germany, although Cortana is also available here, as I am using UK English Windows 10 I must set region to UK to match OS language instead of Germany. If I leave region to Germany, Cortana only works if I change display language to German.

It rather beggars belief that after three years, only five countries in the EU get Cortana, and many Asian, Middle East, former Soviet Union countries, and Norway do not get it (amongst others).

… and my beloved and greatly missed Finland, still no Cortana in either of the official languages (Finnish and Swedish).
