I meant an Elevated Shortcut created like this:

Create Elevated Shortcut without UAC prompt in Windows 10

Put shortcut in your startup folder. EDIT: [you need to create a shortcut to the .exe file not the .lnk shortcut file]

Having said that - it launched fine for me on startup without needing elevation.

Also experiment with a different program to see if you get the same problem.

You could also review this and try delaying launch:

Launch a program on boot - delayed, with no UAC. Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums

Just install with compatibility mode applied to the installer. Try that and nothing more, exactly as I explained at the beginning.

Use a different, current program. Something strange or different about your configuration if 2 of us can install it but not you.

Callender, what is the advantage of a delayed launch here?

I'm not familiar with the program, but are there any services involved? If so, and set to manual may cause auto-start to fail.

It just gives everything else a chance to load before launching the problem program.
