Weird thing is, having not had Control Panel expanding as I've had for years from CS, even after uninstalling /reinstalling v4.3.1 and installing Open Shell (which made no difference), I've just looked again- and suddenly it's back after several days of absence.
I'm old school / old habits that are hard to break so most of the time I just instinctually go to control panel first. Then to settings if I can't find what I'm looking for.
Still having the two makes me think of Doctor Jekale and Mister Hyde. The two faces of Windows 10. You decide which one is which, lol.
I seem to recall the error message I got said I didn't have sufficient rights to uninstall... (from Settings). The only odd thin was selecting run as admin when installing. But I've not retried it... and now CS is working again, don't really wish to...
Then as I said, I uninstalled it by another means.. hey ho!
Thinking it logically, if the program was installed as built-in admin (Run as administrator), and the error message tells you have not sufficient rights to uninstall it as a normal local admin, I would enable built-in admin account and sign in to it, and uninstall from there. Thanks - the oddity was it ran the uninstaller fine when invoked via Geek uninstaller.
(Should be much the same as if I had done that from the C Panel, Programs and Features or the programs own uninstaller directly, I'd guess).
I'd need to repeat the whole thing just to confirm it, and get the exact error message... anyway, just a curiosity.
