From that report, you have a Debbie and test account enabled. The rest are accounts used by the system that are disabled and don't show up on the sign-in screen.

I wouldn't think those would be related to your app issues.

Personally, I would recommend to either reset or clean install of Windows 10 when you get the chance to start fresh. Be sure to backup anything you don't want to lose first though.

I did that and the new profile doesn't show up in C:/users. Do I have to reboot first? Do I rename my old profile old or will it still be in list? Do I have to set my new profile to the administrator in order for it to show up in C:/ Users

    Debbie,

You could use an option in the tutorial below to create a new local account that doesn't use an email address.

Add Local Account or Microsoft Account in Windows 10

It should show up after you sign in to the account for the first time.

Yeah I found that but it won't let me open the old profile to copy files there

Just to verify, is the account you signed in to an administrator account when trying to open the old profile folder?

yes, but I got it all done but the new profile didn't work right, no startup menu. I deleted the new account and will stick with my old one. Right now I don't want to do a clean install, will try in place install when I get more time. Thanks for all your help.

This is the kind of situation where its handy to be able to recover from a backup. I just had a serious problem with my laptop and recovered from a Reflect backup.

Registering the apps makes my start menu disappear. When I did it the last time some but not all apps started working, but as soon an update comes up, they mess up again.
When you say the start menu disappears, does it look like this?
Windows apps don't work can I disable them?-representative-start-full-screen.jpg
If so, go to settings > personalization > start > see if use start full screen is on, if it is turn it off.
--- The start menu should return

If that is the case, I would then restart the computer and see if it holds.

I don't think that will solve your problems yet though because you mention when "updates come up. they mess up again"
    Go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...lems-with-apps
--- There are a number of procedures in there but please follow through on them.

What's the story on Windows Defender?
--- Do want to use it or do you have an alternate security suite?

Since you mention when "updates come up", please run winver and let us know what version you have.
