    No problem, essenbie that's the behaviour I see when Steam updates I just turn it off as I don't use the Chat client.

    I have steam and play faithfully on it....that said, I've never seen that chat pop up. Also, I've never used that chat option with steam, never looked at it.

    So I just fired up steam...and it's updating and taking a while, so I'll see what happens and report back.

    Well, holy crap....it's true. It' comes with the latest steam update (well that sucks). Now to turn it off.

    Yep...turned off and not seeing it when I re-open steam.

    Thanks guys. I am using Steam. I didn't realize that it wasn't Hotmail. The user name is the same. lol

    I shall delete it in the Steam settings and post back.
    @Plankton, How did you turn it off?
