    Runtime Error 5


    Hi Guys, Can anyone please help me out, I am a bit of a novice when computer plays up, I am trying to update some data for a karaoke program i have installed, The data downloads to desktop but when i try to install from within the program i get the following error displays



    Runtime error 5 invalid procedure call or argument, Can someone help me to sort this out,

    I am using windows 10 pro

    Hi, this sounds like an error thrown by code in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) or even VB6, which was discontinued.

    Someone else may have further ideas.

    Check your program's requirements carefully. Does it require Visual Basic support?
    Uunder which OS did you last use it successfully?

    Assuming for example that your program is an older program and requires Visual Basic 6 support, you might, after researching that, try this which adds this in Win 10.

    It's not necessarily VB6... error 5 is common across all Win32 apps - merely means Access denied... so permissions is the issue.
