Odd. Does "Photos" open for you from the Start menu All Apps?

Looks like this is a general issue

Same issue by the way under my Admin account as well.

I'm going back to 1709 and defer the 1803 or whatever is next until a year....I had enough with this BS...Seriously.
I'm sorry, but I am just fed up with these unstable updates. I'm pretty sure I am not alone on this.

    Thanks!

I downloaded again from Windows Store and its back along with the Video Editor app whic I removed, I guess that app works along or somehow is connected to the Photos app. So removing the Video Editor app also will remove the Photos app.

    Thanks
I had the same problem, and have to reinstall the Photo app. Fortunately, even if I do not have a microsoft account but only local I could downloaded and installed it Win10 1803 Home edition

Would like to know the root cause of this. Is this a bug in 1803?

From now on, I am delaying all my feature updates to a year. Just don’t seem to trust these new updates anymore sadly so...

    Thanks

I reinstalled 1803 now, and photos app seems to be fine now, but I would still like to know if this is a bug in 1803 or is on some older builds as well?

Even though the Photos app is working now at the moment, it only appears to be showing in the Start menu and not in the Apps and Features List. See image attached.

Photos is listed for me in Settings > Apps > Apps & features with the latest 17134.167 build of version 1803.

You might check for updates in the "Microsoft Store" app to see if it may fix it for you if a new version of "Microsoft Photos" is available.

    Now I am really confused.

Is it now called the Microsoft Photos or still called the Photos app?
Because now I see it as Microsoft Photos after the Updates from the Store app.

What do see from your App and Features list on build 1803?
Do you also have it as Microsoft Photos or just simply Photos?
