Which Folders Microsoft Store and Apps

I currently have a problem with downloading/updating apps from the MS Store. I have tried almost every suggested solution out there. Having spoken to MS, their assistance was pretty basic. If these solutions don't work just do a clean install was their final word!

Anyway, my wife's laptop is working fine, so I would like to delete all the relevant Store and Apps Folders, copy the same folders from my wife's laptop and see if that solves the problem. Unfortunately it is not easy to find ALL the required folders. So that is my question. Which folders should I copy?

Both computers are the same (latest) version of Windows 10 pro.

Might I recommend an inplace repair / upgrade. You said you are using latest version so this will be a repair.

    I recommend backing up data.

This is a last resort, as I have tried everything including repair installs (3 times)!

Have you tried uninstalling apps you need and then re-registering?

Wow. So uninstall and or re-registering works at a code level, windows does error out / crash, but the apps themselves don't work after these process.

Might it be related to something in the network and or firewall. Did MS suggest any quick network resets like flushing dns or resetting winsock

In order to try to get it sorted I let MS have remote control (not something I would normally do!).

They did the network resets, memory check, disk checks, everything fine.

After almost 3 hours they decided they could not help except to try a fresh install. Funny thing is I tried that a few weeks ago, and the same problem was there before I even installed anything else!!!! So I reverted to an image taken just before.

So you did a fresh install a few weeks ago and it was corrupt even before installing anything. Not sure what that is saying but that is definitely telling us something.

If you create a new local user and then just use your Microsoft Account to get something from Store does it work. Ideally if you had a second MS account so you weren't using your regular account at all.

I had previously created new users, but always with my login for the store, but it was still the same.

Created a new user and created a new user account for the store, guess what, still the same. Even after running wsreset!!!

One member opinion, something is corrupted on your system.

As this happens with new user I do not believe copying files will achieve anything.

I would copy data out and perform a clean install from new media.
