    Skype for Desktop v8.25 wasted ui space in contacts


    Since Skype v7 will be discontinued in September, I reluctantly made the move to 8.25 yesterday.

    While I don't particularly like the UI, it's a bit better than previous versions of 8.

    Aside from the limited personalisation available in Settings, my main gripe is the amount of white space between the individual contacts in the contacts list. Does anyone know if something like the old compact view is possible in 8.25?

    The thing I hate with this new version of the desktop skype is there is no "Home" button. Once your done with a chat or call....it's up on your main screen all the time.

Hi, I just installed Skype on W10, and it's automatically given me a whole bunch of contacts that I've never heard of. I can't delete them from Skype, so where are they? I don't have any contacts in Outlook, and they aren't in my Gmail either....
The screenshot shows a few lines of space underneath "Get started" in the list of "most used" programs. I'd like this space to be utilised by increasing the list to, say, nine items. Is that possible? 47427
