How to remove programs from Open With ... More Apps

    Hello,
I am trying to remove apps I have opened before with Open with -> Choose another app -> More apps -> Look for another app on this PC. The programs I opened through this now listed in my Open with -> More apps.
I wish to clean this list up but I cannot locate the entries in the registry.
    Could someone help me please?

Openwithview (free) lets you disable/enable entries:

While handling Open With is just one feature of this free program:

    Hello,
    Thank you for the replies.
The OpenWithView program worked, and I disabled the programs so they do not show up in the More Apps list of Open With anymore.
However, is there a way to delete them from this list rather than just disable them?
The tutorials posted here did not show how to delete programs from the More Apps list.

The More Apps list definition remains obscure to me. It is NOT those programs registered as being able to handle that particular extension. Indeed the way these are selected seems sometimes to be a rather arbitrary mix including those which could handle the particular file type, and others which are simply inappropriate. It is NOT a list of all available programs.

I don't think there is a single list per file type of such programs, and on that basis, lacking a clear definition of the construction of the list, it would be unclear as to how to manipulate it.

I will be interested to see if there is any detail on this.

There seems to be some correlation with the list here:

    Thank you for the reply.
If it is too complex, then I shall leave this issue as it is.
At least my problem is solved.

Gonna perform a bit of thread necromancy here. You can get rid of application entries under "Open With" > "Choose Another App" > "More Apps" under "Other Options" by going to HKEY_CLASSES ROOT > Applications and either deleting the key for the application in question or by creating a string value titled "NoOpenWith".
