I have just started to use the Windows 10 Calendar app and have set up several 'Test' events with the reminder time set to 15, 30 minutes and 1 hour reminder time. The time for each passes with no indication of a reminder for any of them that I can see. What should they look like and when should the appear?

That makes sense but I can't find a place in the Settings for Calendar to do that. Could you point me to it?
My Calendar App version is Version 17.9330.21365.0. It seems to behave differently than the pictures you showed.

Of course! I was looking in settings in Calendar. No wonder I couldn't find it.
However I don't think that will do what I want. The banner flashes by to quickly for my tired old eyes and brain. I know to to change that so I will stay on longer but that means all other notifications from other sources will also stay on longer --- not good for me. I like the reminders that come from Office's Calendar. It stays on until I see it and kill it -- that's good. I've used it since dirt.
It looks like the only one of the three apps I will wind up using is People and that's OK.
