    I am running win 10 Is there a free file lock to lock a desktop folder with private fikes inside?

    Hello Ben,

    If you like, the free program "7-Zip" includes a password protected encrypted folder feature that you could use for this.

    From someone logged into your computer with your account?
    From someone logged into your computer using a different account?
    From someone sharing your drive from a remote host?

    I may have not said what I am trying to do. I want to put a folder on my screen and put pix in it and then want to lock it so no one can open it I want to lock it with a password Is there a free program that this can do it.

    Have you read my post? E.g.
    Lock-A-folder is another free software to password protect folders.
    SecretFolder can’t uninstalled without entering the password that you have set to protect your important folders
    Feel free to search further.
