    BTW, and for my education, to invoke system restore from the installation stick would I insert it instead of booting off of it then go into setup and ..........now I need help.
    You'd boot it and take the "Repair" option hiding down in the lower left corner....... Options are in all the next screens.

    You can also boot to Advanced Start Up without using an install stick. It's in...
    Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced start-up

    Which is fine, if your system is bootable to the OS. The question was how to do it with the Install Media.

    Also, holding down the shift key while doing a Restart will take you to the Advanced Options. If the Recovery partition is intact and has not been deleted as suggested by some.
