File Storage Location for People App

For years I have use Outlook 365 for email, calendar and contacts. I want to try the People App for my phone book but can't figure out how to back up the data file for it. Where is the storage file for that located? Also, the calendar app?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello @JJG10,

You can go to the Outlook > People link below at Microsoft, click on Manage on the toolbar, and click on Export contacts to export them to a .csv file.

    Thank you Brink.

That is the same as doing it under Outlook 365. And it will do the trick. I use a batch file to regularly back up my .pst file containing my contacts and calendar as well as some other volatile files. That has easily saved me a lot of grief over the years and I was wondering if I could use the same technique for the People and Calendar apps?

    Thanks again.

If you sign in to Windows 10 with the same Microsoft account, it should sync your data for the People and Calendar apps automatically.

Otherwise, I'm not sure the .pst for Outlook 365 would also apply to the People and Calendar app.

OK, I am not sure either but if I knew where the data files for the two apps lived and what their names are I could include them in my "backup stuff" bat file.

    Thanks again.

A reasonable guess would be here for People

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\....

You could explore the Packages folder further for more. E.g. that's where Mail stores its emails.
