Could the add on (Enhancer be the problem?
Thanks for the idea. It's easy to test by renaming the winapp2.ini file (CCEnhancer additions) and without that file Ccleaner works as expected when cleaning Edge cookies. I will try downloading a fresh copy of CCEnhancer definitions.

Okay I used a fresh trimmed copy of winapp2.ini and for me the problem has gone. I doubt that the OP has the same issue.

Callendar Off Topic. What on earth are you doing up at 04:13 and on the forum. Would I be correct to assume that the old country is behind a goal in the World cup.

I'm not a football fan so don't keep an eye on the world cup. I sleep at odd hours due to noisy neighbours. I usually sleep early evening.

When I run Ccleaner all cookies on computer are deleted and the folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe is empty. You may want to go to Options>Advanced.Setting and reset CCleaner to default settings.
    Done that Stitch194.
I've also uninstalled via Revo uninstaller pro & reinstalled.

    You could test this:

    Download HDCleaner - MajorGeeks

I do see cleanup notifications after closing Edge.

I don't use Edge as my browser, but I know if it is running (which it usually is) and you manually clean using the browser tools there's usually cookies, history... that cant be cleaned. I think Edge may keep some cookies or history data... for a timed period (24hrs) before they can be deleted. Maybe this is what CCleaner is showing after running the cleaner.

I tried that program & it looks great however I still didn’t see any notifications, there was no icon in the taskbar/notification area which was strange. I may try again later today.

Possible, however I can open CCleaner & manually choose these cookies & they are cleaned.
