    Hi Sally,
Your question has been moved to the proper thread, where it will be seen. I don't know anything about Windows Live Photos, but let's see if we can't get you some help from someone who is familiar with it, so hang tight.

As of January 10, 2017, Windows Essentials 2012 is no longer supported on Windows 10, and is unavailable for download. Windows Essentials 2012 included Windows Movie Maker, Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Family Safety and the OneDrive desktop app for Windows. Already installed applications will continue to work as they do today but If one of them stop working, you won't be able to reinstall the program.

If you still have the offline installer, wlsetup.exe, it will still install, although I am not sure about the photos app. Just be aware that Microsoft no longer supports it, so there are no security updates.

If you have an android phone and have Google photos set up....you can install "Backup and Sync" for the PC. This is Google's cloud storage (15 GB). Once installed, anything on PC and phone is viewable from either device.

    Welcome to TenForums @Sally4510

Whilst it's true that it has been removed from the Microsoft site, it is still available for download from an archived copy of the MS site in the Internet Archive Wayback Machine. That's where I got my copy of the offline installer wlsetup-all.exe.

Just install the Gallery/Movie Maker. You may see an error reported by the installer saying the install failed. This is not quite true, it fails at a point after Gallery has been successfully installed. I don't use Gallery much (it's Movie Maker I wanted) but it does seem fully functional in the latest version of Windows 10.
