Some Icons Greyed Out in Shell:Appsfolder

I just upgraded my laptop to 1803 and I've been reviewing all my programs and Apps in Shell:Appsfolder.

Some of the Apps icons (e.g. Camera, Calendar & Calculator) are greyed out when large icons or tiles are selected but they display fine when small icons are chosen - see screenshots below. The Apps work OK and the same issue occurs in all user accounts. I deleted the icon cache file and tried resetting & reinstalling the offending Apps to no avail. Sfc / scannow runs OK.

What causes this and is there a fix? Perhaps it's a bug?

It might be with classicshell and the fact there is no more support for it. Have you tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling?

Thanks. I fully uninstalled CS using Revo Uninstaller and reinstalled CS but I still have the same issue.

Not grayed out, but using the white icon version for UWP apps

That's the problem but what's the fix?

There is none, as these icons are the ones that show up on the start menu, and they need to be white to contrast with the tile color .

It was not thought that a user would even dream of "using" the Shell:Appsfolder which is why you can't find it by clicking anything, and need to specifically search for it, or use Run dialog.

Thanks for saving my time for confirming this behaviour is by design which wasn't initially obvious. Perhaps pushing the boundaries of W10 isn't a good idea?
