Warning for all Win10 users: using Stardock IconPackager 5.x problem

    Hi all!
Please don't use Stardock IconPackager 5.x versions with Windows 10, no matter of upgrade!
It harms icons in Start menu/screen and new icons are displayed as default system icon only - it is only in case Start menu/screen, icons or other places are correct.
In Windows 8 or 8.1 it was working correctly, after Windows 10.1803 upgrade I reinstalled system and it did written above.
I tried to solve it by buying and installing new IconPackager 10.02 with Windows 10 support - it solved nothing even IconPackager 5.10.032 was removed incl. registry records.
If anybody find/found solution, I will be happy if shares it.
    Thank you all.Miro

You are making a big assumption that what affected you will affect all users.

Of course, users should protect themselves as with any update by taking proper image backups.

Warning was before installing IconPackager 5.x.

Of course IconPackager 10.02 can work and I tested it on vitual machine - no problem.

I wanted only warn users that old version does this effect and new version is supported.

I don't want to harm Stardock - even I have lot of their products licensed.

Well, if people fail to update to latest versions, they have to expect issues. That applies to any software
