    Newbie: Programming software/websites?

Hello, I am currently in the hospital and have limited access. IE 11 on Win7 and limite SSL support. Lynda.com works which is a huge bonus. I want to pickup a programming language while I am here. Is there a website I can use to test/learn in conjunction with Lynda.com? I was thinking javascript or html. It all has to work with in IE11. I can't run anything locally. Thank you in advance!

    Josh.

If you visit W3Schools.com, they have an online editor called Tryit that lets you enter HTML markup and immediately review results. Works like a champ. Find it at Tryit Editor v3.5. If you run this Bing Query, it will point you at dozens of online JavaScript environments where you can type JS code in the left-hand pane, and see output on the right-hand pane. Great stuff!
