How to return to PC Settings > Apps "Allow apps from anywhere?"

I wanted to install iTunes from an Apple download. I get the message: "Your PC settings mean only verified apps from the Store can be installed. Here's a similar app from the Store"

In "PC Settings", I see "Allow apps from the store only"

I changed to "Allow apps from anywhere". That allowed the iTunes installation.

After the installation, I changed PC Settings to be "Warn me when ..."

Now I want to install CCleaner. I get a red warning "This app has been blocked for your protection."

I changed PC settings to "Allow apps from anywhere." I get the same red warning.

How do I get back to my original setup, which was "Allow apps from anywhere"?

I tried this, but I couldn't see any "Unblock" checkbox under the "Advanced" button (see my screenshots).

I have Win 10 Pro, April 2018. I deliberately chose a .7Z file, as in the example.

I also tried some .EXE files

I've cracked this issue.

Firstly, @Bree is correct. I should be testing the CCleaner installation download.

So, I downloaded and tested the latest CC installation file. (Not the earlier version that I was using at the start of this thread.) This time, there was no red warning dialog.

So, I double-clicked on the earlier CC installation file, with the intention of only doing the first few steps without actually installing over my up-to-date version. Now, I get the same red warning as previously.

Then I tried right-click on the install file. Once again, I see no "Unblock" button in Properties.

So, I used an elevated command prompt from Shawn Brink's tutorial as suggested by @dalchina in post #2. Again, I only intended to try the first few steps of the install.Now I don't get the red warning dialog.

Conclusion: For me, the elevated command prompt is the quickest and most intuitive method of bypassing the warning. At least the effort probably forces me to ask myself "Do I really need to install this prog to access people's private FaceBook data?"

It might seem strange that "Run as Administrator" in Windows does not work. But to people of my age, DOS is much more reliable than any Windows command - with the possible exception of Windows NT.
