All data was deleted early on. That is not an issue in this case.

Update. I clicked on the One Drive entry in the File Explorer and get an invalid. So one drive must be gone just the listing of it in the File Manager was not removed.

Have you already restarted the computer or the explorer?
    taskkill /im explorer.exe /f & explorer.exe

Also try this, since it seems to be under Desktop.
    reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel" /v "{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}" /t REG_DWORD /d "1" /f

As I previously noted, I restarted the PC before I checked to see if it was gone.

I entered the second one. I'll restart and see what happens. Still there after a reboot.

Based on the "look" of that OneDrive icon in your pic, it appears to be an "orphaned" icon or junction link. This MS post looks similar.

Also, Delete junctions with rmdir (rd). Works in all Windows versions.

Its not an orphaned icon as it doesn't give any option to delete it as the link suggests.

I'm going to do a Macrium disc image on this system. Will try the other tomorrow.

Did you set OneDrive not to start with windows before uninstalling it? (Right click icon in system tray for settings)

Maybe it was running when you tried to uninstall it. Consider running OneDriveSetup.exe again - you should be able to search for the file.

    Settings > Apps > Start-up > Microsoft OneDrive Setup > Off.
Settings > Privacy > Background Apps > One Drive > Off.
Settings > Accounts > Sync your settings > Everything Off.

OneDrive had to be re-installed, from the MS Store after the 1803 version update.

OneDrive is not in the File Manager, or Task bar, no error message as in post #12 just an empty One Drive folder in that account location.

I have stuff on OneDrives but that is uploaded and separate when signed on to an MS Account. OneDrive is essentially not there. When needed can be used. Nothing more complex than that.

One drive was stopped before I started doing anything to remove it.

Apparently now, the only thing remaining is One Drive is still listed in the File Explorer, although as my posted screen shot its an invalid entry. Word and other Office 365 apps are no longer trying to access it. I find nothing for One Drive browsing items in Win Patrol.
