Is there a program that can do this?

I wanted to know if there is a program for windows 10 that can do things automatically. For example, I can set it to automatically open up chrome and automatically type some site and then download something or click a button all on autopilot. Is there such a thing? Or am I way ahead of our time?

    thanks

You could use Task Scheduler to open a website or do a certain task on Windows if you'd like. To click or download something, you would need a problem. What you need could be done using a Batch or Powershell script.

There are programs that can record and create macros, allow you to record keystrokes.

Autohotkey (free) is one extensive programming suite that can be used to manipulate windows, press buttons, manipulate fields..
It can be used to create hot keys (hence the name) and even create full programs.
Scripts can be as simple as 1 or 2 lines.

    Examples:
Top 10 Free Macro Automation Software for Computers to Perform Repetitive Tasks • Raymond.CC
17 Best Free Macro Recorder tools to Perform Repetitive Tasks

    (I searched for
    macro free

I'm not sure what you mean by "automatically".

Do you want an action to take place at a prescribed time and date?

Example: (albeit rather specific) - but almost matches the requirement.

Password managers such as Keepass, Lastpass, Roboform are designed so that one click can:
    - launch the default browser
    - fill a URL
    - have the browser open that site
    - fill in login details
    - click the relevant button

I.e. 1 click gets you logged in to a site.

The others I quoted above are general. And naturally the sequence of actions could be triggered on a schedule if desired.
