trying to display the weather app on the lock screen. I didn't use location for weather, typed in home town for the location. it is not working and only get the oem time and date.
is it not possible to do this?
side note, I noticed in group policy editor "Disables the lock screen camera". is that a typical thing to worry about? seems spooky
Mine (build 1709) shows weather info ok- on a lock screen. Make sure what you're seeing is really a lock screen. Try Windows key + L as an example.
Noted you have no preview.. (weather is not shown on the preview screen it seems).
yesterday my lockscreen preview looked just like yours but, today have been disabling things using the registry edit files from this forum. the weather app shows up on the lock screen but my preview is grey. show lock screen back ground is enabled.
also would like the weather app to be the big one but that is the time and date.
Sorry, when I played around with this a long time ago and had the preview screen grey, the only thing that helped was upgrading to the next build.
You could try using an appropriate system restore point (if you've enabled that) or restoring a disk image (assuming you've taken our so-often repeated advice to use disk imaging e.g. Macrium Reflect (free)), or else an in-place upgrade repair install.
lol wasn't complaining, doesn't really matter to me. the preview showed the samething anyway no matter what i added to options.
is there anyway to swith the time and date with weather on the lock screen. i would prefer the weather to be the big one and time the tiny one in the corner.
i am sure, i will be reinstalling windows for some reason again. then i will try to figure out what went wrong with the preview.
