Thank you for that quick reply, but I have just now tried it (both ways, wsReset and wsreset) but still just get the blue screen with the little whirly circles going round.....
Try this then
Launch an elevated Command Prompt
Run these commands:
- SFC /scanNow
if the utility reports any integrity errors, post a screen shot.
Then run the next command- Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
if the utility reports any integrity errors, post a screen shot.
Seeing what you see always helps members on this side of your monitor.
Here's how you can grab a screen shot that shows the issue and attach it to a new post.

Both command might run for a while (30-60 mins each).
SFC found and repaired items, does Store launch for you now?
Dism did not run - you need to put a space before each slash '/' in the command line
- it's a common mistake.
It's easiest to just copy the entire line below and paste it in the command window.
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
It's ok now! I ran it again and got Store back, so thank you for your useful advice!
Sadly I find the built-in calendar too stripped down to be useful.
Unless I missed it, I couldn't find a way to copy/paste events, to name one feature I use regularly.
Is there any other calendar app that would integrate in the start UI but with more features ?
(at the moment I still use outlook + the hotmail connector)
