How to stop Nero ads in lower right of screen

For about the last month I've been getting Nero ads that pop up in the lower right of the desktop, above the notification area.

I have NERO 2017 and have disabled or deleted Nero notifications and update (all that I could find including registry) but the pop ups still appear.

Is it Nero or is it something in Windows?

I use to use Nero products sometime ago and it happened to me all the time. Obviously certain downloaded files are responsible for their execution. I don't remember the exact files names, but it didn't really matter. I removed the files and it stopped until the next update which Nero noticed they were gone and downloaded them again. I eventually went to Cyberlink.

I have to use Nero "BurningRom" app for audio CD's. I have a CD production facility in my recording studio with 5 USB connected burner drives. I can burn to the 5 drives at one time with Nero. I've tried many other CD burning programs and none will burn to multiple drives at the same time. Nero is the only one I've found.

wow, that's impressive. I wish I could help you with the file names, but it's been a long time and I just don't recall. But I did get them from a forum. I don't think it was a Nero forum, maybe windows xp forum.

I found a link that points to "Nero Info" as potentially the culprit. I've uninstalled Nero Info and I'll see if I get any more popups.
May take a week or so before I know for sure. I'll leave the thread "unsolved" for now.

Could also be Nero is set as associated with .iso files. An .iso file is downloadable and used with a CD/DVD burning program to create a new exact copy of a disc when that disc is not available. An example of such a process is downloading the .iso file in MCT/Media Creation Tool to have a bootable, installable copy of the Windows disc. Software companies like to use .iso as they only have to post a single copy on their Servers and have a link on their Web page, saves on several things such as inventory of copies, shipping costs, etc. All of this to say that most times such messages come up when a blank disc is in the drive, my Roxio Easy CD and DVD Creator does it.

The iso is not the problem. Its Nero advertisements that pop up, about once a week. According to the thread I found Nero Info is what is doing it. As noted, I uninstalled Nero Info (and restarted Win 10) and now have to wait and see if I still get the popup.

I've used Nero for years, because it will burn to multiple CD's at the same time, the pop ups have been since the new version was released. I have the 2017 version and I have no need to upgrade. I only use NeroBurning ROM and finally in the 2017 version they fixed the long standing song title problem. If a song has two words in the title such as "Good Day" only "Day" is shown as the song title when its dragged into Nero. "Good" would show up in the Artist entry. Or if a title such as "I've Got" is dragged into Nero only "ve Got" would appear in the Title. This was finally fixed in 2017 version. It now will properly put the full title in the title section.

I also use the "verify" option when burning audio CD's.

The iso is not the problem.
That's just an example of the various things that can prompt programs to do that may be beneficial to the User or detrimental to the User.

Then the iso is not this specific problem.

I'm marking this solved. I haven't got any Nero ads since I deleted the suggested "Nero Info".
