    Store update strange behaviour

    So a little earlier I did my usual routine of boot pc and open store app. I always manually check for updates to apps. One come up for store app itself. I clicked update but rather than do
    its normal close the store app and re launch on completion store app stayed open. In reliability history it said the update failed for the store app. Yet if I check settings in the store app it does show the latest version number ending in 8. If I check for app updates manually again it says I am all up to date. Quirky behaviour and wondered if anyone noticed the same

    Hi,

    I was curious to see if anyone else had the same anamoly. After the alarming behaviour it appears to be working and has the correct version number so I wonder if the fail in reliability history is a red herring. It does worry me though because the store app out of all them is the one you don't want bombing out as it will affect all apps what with no longer being able to install any new ones or update them.

    I'm probably being a little dense in asking but if store gets uninstalled then how do you re-install it? I can see how that might help for other native apps as you can go back into store to re-install them but for the store app itself?

    Not whole store just offending APPs. I had Skype and couple other ones making trouble, re-installation solved them. Btw. Store itself was updated today.

    @scotty

    I don't think you can uninstall the Store app but you can reset it. Right click on Store, more, app settings.
